Produce abundant at Panaji market

Compared to Kabul, the food in Goa is so superior that any comparison is largely a waste of time. In Goa, they appreciate spices and use them liberally; in Kabul, you can barely find salt and pepper on a restaurant table. In Kabul, like much of Central Asia as well, they are obsessed with meat, which is often fatty, overcooked and dry. Vegetable and fruits were often the heart and soul of a meal in Goa and there were vegetarian restaurants on every corner.
