Two CDs I have enjoyed recently after discovering them at one or more of the music vendors at the Zum department store in Bishkek (or the latest installment of music to save one’s life):
- Sacred Ground, David Murray and the Black Saint Quartet, featuring Cassandra Wilson (Justin Time 2007);
- What Now? Kenny Wheeler, with John Taylor, Chris Potter and Dave Holland (Par Media Music 2005).
And I am currently listening to
Rendezvous, Jackie Terrason and Cassandra Wilson, which one reviewer described as “sublime” shortly after its release in 1997.
