Jamming' the Blues, 1944 short, remains vital, beautiful

This award-winning short film (about 10 minutes) knocked me out when I saw it for the first time during a talk on the legacy of saxophonist Lester Young (above) last month at the National Jazz Museum in Harlem. The music and dance are outstanding and shot after shot is worthy of framing.
