My godson Luke and his father, Larry, survey the Big Eddy on the Rio Chama near Abiquiu, New Mexico. We met Wednesday while they attended a healthcare conference at the Ghost Ranch retreat center, which is operated by the Presbyterian Church but more widely associated with one of its deceased neighbors, artist Georgia O’Keefe who often painted the sublime landscapes nearby.
