The third international “Jazz_Bishkek_Spring” festival April 25-27 will feature musicians from Switzerland, Germany, France, Hungary, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
“Music without borders” is the festival theme and building bridges for peace and understanding through cultural collaboration is the mission, according to a recent press release posted on http://www.jazz.kg/Content.aspx.
“Creativity, tolerance and freedom are the foundation and very nature of Jazz music. Jazz is a universal means of communication, which is ‘spoken’ all over the world. It is a democratic kind of music, the music of people valuing freedom and creativity,” stated the release.
