Panfilova Park in downtown Bishkek, amazingly enough, operates year-round, though one struggles to wonder why. Last night the temperate fell to 0 F. and is expected to dip to -14 by Saturday night. Nonetheless, there are still vendors walking the parks and streets selling cotton candy and filled balloons. Cotton candy in the dead of winter: I have no place to put that in my American skull.
