Demonstrations never fail to attract colorful personalities. This old boy, genuflecting before the signs and flags carried by an opposition group, told anyone who would listen, in both English and Russian, that he disliked Bakiyev but loved everything else about Kyrgyzstan, especially the “Kygryz girls.” Many of the demonstrators are young boys and men, some of whom are recruited and reportedly paid about 200 soms (about $5) per demo.
